The Sago palm is a very popular landscape item. It is also known as the King Sago Palm, but despite the name it is not a Palm at all, it is a Cycad, a very primitive plant. Their fossils have been found on almost every continent.

This type of Plant is often refered to as a 'living fossil'. The Sago palm is suited to grow indoors and it does well in cold weather.

This palm can be seen in just about all botanical gardens around the world. The Sago Palm will grow great inside of a container and inside of your house, but they need good sunlight for at least part of the day.
